This exhibition is one outcome from a creative recovery partnership with Wangaratta Art Gallery and the Whitfield District Greta Valley, and Edi Upper Primary Schools, generously funded through Murray PHN.
The overall goal of the project was to bring art into the local community, targeting bushfire impacted areas across the Wangaratta Shire, supporting school community connectedness and wellbeing through artmaking.
Working with an artistic and creative team comprised of local botanist Ian Davidson, and artists Marc Bongers, Kim Ciancio, Ben Jenkins, Jamie McNeil and Cameron Robbins and gallery staff a group of Grade 4, 5 and 6 students became citizen scientists and artists and immersed themselves in the theme of native fauna and flora and climate.
