Remote brings together a selection of recent works on paper by Albury based artist, Kasia Fabijańska that explore her relationship with landscape, from her homeland of Poland to her adopted home of Australia.

Drawn to the dense northern hemisphere forests, mountains and rocks of her childhood spent in Poland and Germany and the memories of more recent travels across north America, Fabijańska feels the nostalgic pull to the landscapes of her past. For her they evidence both the constancy and change of nature, its beauty, mystery and the scale or depth of human experience. More recent works bring the energy of her northern hemisphere landscapes to local scenes, acknowledging the inherent cultural and spiritual significance of sites, and the deep relationships to country.
